The location in the pretty square was perfect for exploring Chinon. We had a blast cycling along the river and canoeing - so much fun! The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. We also loved the variety of choices at the restaurant. a great vacation with friends!
If there was one thing we would ask for, it would be a better nightlife scene for young party-goers. But hey, we still had an amazing time exploring the area during the day!

The setting was incredibly quiet, with lovely narrow, old streets that were perfect for walking around. The hotel's location was amazing, close to the morning market and right in the center of town. Parking was easy to find on nearby streets. The staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating, letting me practice my French while also speaking English. The attached restaurant offered great value for money, with delicious food served on a charming terrace. If you prefer, there are two other restaurant options just a few meters away. The rooms may be a bit small, but the price reflects that, and I would much rather stay in a hotel with character than a basic one. The simple breakfast included was a nice touch, and people-watching from the bedroom window or terrace with a beer or rosé was a delight. On arrival, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was simple but satisfactory. The room itself was simple but comfortable for a one-night stay. The location in a pretty square was perfect for exploring the castle and dining out. The restaurant offered a reasonably priced menu with varied options. The inclusion of a TV in the room was a bonus. Plus, the hotel offered free Wi-Fi in the rooms and restaurant, and cots were available if needed.

The hotel is conveniently located right in the central square, making it easy to explore the town and dine out at nearby restaurants. It is also close to the river, providing a picturesque backdrop for leisurely walks. the rooms are comfortable, with beds that ensure a good night's sleep. the bathroom, though slightly tired, is kept clean. the staff are friendly and helpful, providing useful information. the breakfast served is simple but satisfies the purpose.
Some rooms may experience noise from the brasserie and street, particularly during early morning deliveries.

Our weekend stay was worth the money spent, especially the free breakfast and parking after 6 pm, which helped us save. We loved the central location of this hotel, which made it easy for us to explore the town by foot. The beautiful streets and the morning market made our morning walk more enjoyable. The room was comfortable and had a TV that kept us entertained.
The downside of the central location was that the street noise woke us up too early. The constant street sweeper and delivery vans made it impossible to sleep peacefully at night.

Our family had a fantastic time exploring the area around Hotel Du Cafe Des Arts. We went fishing in the nearby river, canoed along the peaceful waterways, and cycled through the picturesque countryside. It was a perfect location for outdoor activities, and we created amazing memories together.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel had a small playground for children to enjoy.

the rooms were clean and spacious, although the decor was a bit too orange for my taste. the location was fantastic, right in the heart of a charming Loire town. From my window, I could see the town square and a bustling side street, perfect for people-watching. the staff were friendly and helpful upon arrival, and I enjoyed watching the vegetable market being set up in the square in the morning. a great first night in France. Cons: All good! 😊.

We had a fantastic stay at Du Cafe Des Arts. The location was perfect, right in the center of Chinon. We loved being able to easily explore the narrow, old streets and visit the morning market. The hotel itself may be a little old, but it had a charming 1950s B&B vibe that reminded us of a seafront stay. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean and fresh. We also appreciated the option for an alternative breakfast due to our dietary requirements. The friendly staff made sure we had all the information we needed for a great stay.

We stayed at this hotel during Christmas, and it had a festive ambiance. the staff was friendly and welcoming, providing us with warm blankets and hot beverages. the location of the hotel was perfect, as it was close to several restaurants and shops. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which was simple but satisfying.
The hotel room was disappointing. the room was small, and the bed was uncomfortable.
